- Behavioral health nurses, staff nurses and nurse practitioners are among the positions with the highest vacancy in Missouri. The state is experiencing the highest registered nurse turnover in 12 years.
- Employment of occupational therapy assistants and aides is projected to grow 40 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.
- Medical laboratory technicians, physician assistants and surgical technicians are among the positions with the highest vacancy in Missouri.
- Increased demand for prescription medications will lead to a higher demand for pharmaceutical services professionals.
