Explore Your Future in Health Care Central Missouri – Career Exploration

Explore Your Future in Health Care is a hands-on, interactive career exploration event to raise awareness around the variety of career opportunities available in health care, what the requirements are, courses students should take while in high school, career paths, and what they can expect to make as health care professionals.

There are two ways to be part of the day:

• Host an interactive exhibit hands-on activity that can be completed in five minutes or less. Examples include pig lungs, pill counting, suturing, ultrasound probes,  X-rays, etc. This is a great opportunity for caregivers to share their expertise and help students explore health care careers. This is the “wow” moment that gets students excited about a career they hadn’t considered.
• Participate as a next steps exhibitor, talk with students about what comes after the excitement — the classes, credentials, apprenticeships, or entry-level roles that actually get them into the field. Participate as a next steps exhibitor, where students learn about programs, admissions, scholarships, apprenticeships and hiring. This track is best suited for recruiters, counselors, education partners and community organizations.
