Job Description

EMT’s assess injuries, administer emergency medical care, and extricate trapped individuals. They transport injured and sick persons to medical facilities.

Academic Requirements

Both EMT-Basic and more advanced EMT-Paramedic programs are available. Students must complete EMT-Basic training before entering paramedic training. These programs also prepare EMT’s for certification tests, which must be passed before graduates can pursue careers in this field.
