The goals of the health science courses are to prepare a health science generalist who has the knowledge and skills for an entry-level career in the health care industry or continue their education at the post-secondary level. It is expected that the graduates of the program will understand the complexity and evolving nature of the health care industry and its multiple service areas.

Blood Bank Technologists
Blood bank technicians collect, label and prepare blood, plasma and other components for transfusions. Blood bank technicians properly store blood draws and maintain documentation and records. Technicians work with patients, making them comfortable during the procedure and monitoring vital signs.
